IMHO; for the same money, I would take Canton Ref K1’s all day long over Avior II’s. I was fortunate enough to hear them side by side. Just sayin…

The K1’s come extremely close to my TAD R1 MkII’s which cost way north of $100K

I love the VAC gear too!

Quite reminiscent of Hales larger speakers from the '90s. But, as a current Canton owner and working off a 25yr ago memory, I'm thinking Ivan has it right.

Fred, I understand that the crossover of every Rockport is hand tuned and adjusted by Andy Payor (the CEO) for accuracy before leaving the factory. Rockport is a premier American speaker manufacturer. The new Orion for 133K is meant to compete with the Aida, Alexx V, and M6 or M3.

There's nothing not to like about this speaker, but I'm a little weary of demos. I would want to check it out very carefully first. If as billed, they would probably take less and you would be getting your dream speaker at half price plus your trade in. Can't beat that. :yes:

Rockport is a superb speaker manufacturer, on par with Wilson and Magico. I know the Cygnus will sound amazing driven by your 1502. But your getting into rarified air at 62.5K. I think I'll stick to roller skating for my foreseeable future. I scored a stash of vintage Fomacs (4 sets of wheels) 600.00 dollars today. :banana:
