Parasound......

Anyone have any comments about this company??? I know about the input that John Curl puts into the products, but not much else. I have also read that the JC1 monoblocks and the Halo A21 stereo amp are supposed to be very good for the prices they are asking.

Please step up if anyone has any comments/opinions.

:thankyouspin:

I have always been curious about their products, too.

Very nice amps and preamps, the HALO line is top notch:)

I have a Halo amp I run for my surround it is class A / AB

Some of the preamps get amazing reviews. Also I have a 250 watt Parasound amp with 4 speaker support in A and B zones I run for my living room and outside deck locations from my main mx150 located in the basement.

Never had an issues with any items, no hum etc. Durable and very clean stuff.

What are you looking at?

Hi Dave
I'm looking at the Halo A21 for a summertime amp. I would then use my ARC VT100 tube amp for the winter.

I have been using an A21 for the last couple of years. It has proven to be very reliable and for the price is a great performer.

Sooner or later I plan on trying silver fuses which I have been told make a noticeable improvement.

Regards,
Todd

They make good gear at reasonable prices.

I own one great amp I use it now to drive my surround speakers. They are custom Morel Dynaudio units and will take a tone of power. This amp is very clean great $$$$ for the value, lots of headroom, mono bridge too if needed.

Sounds fast, accurate, powerful, very tight strong bass, not over bright, yet clean and sweet.

Parasound Halo A 21 Amplifier Review — Reviews and News from Audioholics

MichiganMike 08-09-2012 08:26 AM

I have enjoyed Parasound Halo A21 and A51 amps in my home theater system for more than five years. I agree with others that these are reliable and well-designed amps which offer excellent performance and value at their price point.

In my opinion, the McIntosh MC501 amps in my two channel system are more musical with a better S/N ratio than the A21, but the performance difference is not as great as might be expected given the 5X price differential.
