Canton Reference K3 - bought!
I got to listen to the Canton Reference K3 today. It was one of my fastest decisions to purchase a pair of speakers ever!
http://www.salonav.com/wp-content/up...ference_02.jpg My pair should be clearing customs next week. Photos to follow! |
Ivan.......They sure look the part. The K3 looks super in gloss white, too.
Here's their K Series Brochure: https://www.canton.de/media/pdf/Cant...in_ENG_web.pdf |
You're gonna need a bigger speaker switch!

So if you got these, where are you going to put those Raidhos??? ;)
|
Those are really attractive speakers; You must have been very impressed with them.
I read about them after I saw pictures from Axpona where Esoteric was using them for their demo. I couldn't find any particular info about how people felt this setup sounded, though. |
Ivan's getting crazy even by his own standards! Every day I see another post about buying speakers. Makes me feel almost normal.

I have Canton in my new car.
Pretty decent, a lot better than Bose which was the top system in my now sold A6 Avant. |

Well, after many distractions and even some unexpected travel. These Canton K3's will be set up in time for July 4th.
Full unboxing, and setup photos to follow! :ok: |
I've seen these paired with Esoteric electronics at AXPONA, RMAF and LA shows, but as another member mentioned, never find much in the way of reviews about them. I can't find US retailers on their website, either. Are you going to sell them?

These K3's came highly recommended, which was enough for me. |
Love those speakers Ivan, they just sound very real when I auditioned a pair. Like the speaker was not there, just the music HUGE Congrats :)

Unboxing & Installation tomorrow! :yahoo:

Gorgeous!

Thanks Mike... they have one of the deepest black lacquer finishes I have ever seen. We have some friends and family over, so they are breaking in at low levels right now.
At the moment, I couldn't be more pleased with them. :) |

They look very attractive and well proportioned.
Is there a reason you chose the K3 vs the K1? Did you get a chance to hear the K1? |

Also, I will probably have 3 pairs of speakers connected to this system and the K1 presented a much wider footprint. |

Here are some more set up photos;
