Any Milwaukee Tool Fans?
Being the tool nut that I am, I recently added Milwaukee to my tool arsenal.
Any other Milwaukee fans here? |
I am for sure. I had an assortment of old tools and decided to get a new complete set of wrenches, sockets etc. I went with Milwaukee. My power tools are all Dewalt. As they give up the ghost, I will replace with Milwaukee.

I’m a big Milwaukee fan that started with a corded hammer drill 25+ yeas ago and continues to this day. I’ve recently (last 5 years) been outfitting my places with the M12 devices. Small but mighty.

The M1 collection is pretty addictive. By getting all that at once, Ivan just saved himself a little time for other addictive endeavors. I have M12 tools: 3/8” hammer drill, right angle drill, multi-tool, jigsaw and 23 gauge pin nailer.
The little M12 hammer drill is a great tool. It is small and light but…. I live in South Florida where everything is built in concrete (exterior walls, etc.) or CMU. That little 12 volt wonder zips in pilot holes for Tapcons in a flash. Okay, not like my 20 volt Dewalt. But at what feels like 1/3 the weight, when drilling above your head or overhead (especially when you’ve had a newly sewn-up rotator cuff) it makes a huge difference. It is also very small and nimble so when drilling close to the floor or in tight places, it is a gem. Also good for putting up hurricane shutters! |
Suddenly, I don’t feel so odd after all. :p

Just like I tell my kids. "Your special, just like everyone else."

Chris… I own just about all the popular 23ga pin nailers. Milwaukee cordless won’t throw a 2” pin.
That said; the best 23ga pin nailer hands down is this Grex. Even though you need a hose, the performance more than makes up for it. It can throw a 2” pin in hardwood effortlessly. https://www.amazon.com/Grex-P650L-23...2-8997e41410bb https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/...AC_SL1000_.jpg |
Ivan - thanks! I will take a look for this guy (Grex)

The Milwaukee only handles up to 1 3/8”. For what I got it for, I didn’t need any more than that.

When I worked for a living I always insured that we purchased Milwaukee tools as they are "professional grade". Worth the cost to insure no loss of time due to equipment failure.
As the retired home hobbiest, I'm good with 18v or 24v DeWalt or any of the mass-market brands. Recently built two 4'x8' three level shelves out of 2x4s & 5/8" plywood and the DeWalt gear still running as good as new. I spend my money on quality blades & bits to make the work go well. |

I love my 14v Milwaukee drill, it's heavy but has enough torque to break your wrist. Never short on power no matter what the task!!!
