Acoustic panel material
Hello all! I will be making my own acoustic panel and already started making the wooden frame, my question is what is a good material to use, foam, fiberglass, or something else? Thank you.

Fiberglass is the best material to use.
GIK Acoustics, for example, prefers fiberglass to foam. |

I use a fiberglass product, Knauf Atmosphere Duct-liner. It comes in 1” and 2”
Thickness, various widths and roll lengths. It is specified for acoustic characteristics and is easy to handle. Tom |

Ok I was able to make the frame and found the acoustic board which is made of fiberglass by Owens Corning 700 series that is dense and stiff and I was able to find an acoustic panel shop that had a variety of cloth material specially for acoustic panel. They have the one that matches my existing panel. Made a huge different in the music room acoustically.
