The 0-60 in 1.1 seconds requires the appropriately named "SpaceX" package. :D

Oh it will turn just fine. Take a look at the Model S eating up the track. The roadster will be even better. :yes: Low CG due to battery and drivetrain placement, as well as having the mass closer to the center of the car, results in lower "polar moment" which is a BIG plus for handling.

With high torque motors on each wheel and in some cases steerable rear wheels, these cars will corner like mad. By the numbers they will soon eclipse the best IC super cars.

But without the throaty thunder of a V-12, will they every replace that experience? I think not.

I wonder why they make them look fast when in fact, they are all about function and puttering along efficiently - while saving the planet.

They should be aerodynamic boxes.

It's amazing how far they've come in such a short period of time. Somewhat similar to how quickly battery operated tools have progressed as well.
