We are now finalizing a solid state mod for the new Oppo BDP-83 Blue Ray player.

The mod is designed to improve the analog performance of the BDP-83 for 2CH music as well as, optionally, MCH analog audio for MCH music or HT use.

The main thrust of the mod is the replacement of the stock op-amp based analog stages, with a SS discrete analog stage featuring its own dedicated analog power supply. The new analog stage circuit board is designed to be modular, allowing upgrade of stereo channels and/or multi-channel outputs.

Existing digital power supplies will be improved.

Existing video power supplies will be improved.

Master clock will be upgraded.

Upgrades will also be available to improve the units digital out circuit for use as a HT or music transport.

Mod cost will start at $995.
