Dan,

I know exactly what you mean...

I spend so much time drooling, and admiring the Shindo gear that ... I can't get any work done...

It is such a different path than McIntosh... I just happen to believe that it is true nirvana... down that path.

Once you have heard the sound... there is no going back.

I've spent quite a bit of time with those Ayre products and the Sonus Faber Amati Anniversario, I like the combination a lot. When I auditioned the same products with Wilson WP8's I found the experience to be nearly unbearable.

Were I to decide a change is in order, i'd buy the KX-R, MX-R, C-5xeMP, and be pretty happy.
