The brochure is amazing. I wonder how it sounds compared to McIntosh's MC1.2KW or MC2KW, or MC2301. Perhaps Ivan can do a shoot out once he becomes a dealer!

TommyC.......We have a member here, Lyle1, who recently moved from MC501's, C2300 and MCD500 to Ayre MX-R's, KX-R, and C-5xeMP universal player. He has told me he is thrilled with his system now, and likes it better than the Mac gear. I am going to make it a point to check the Ayre gear out.

I do think the Ayre system he acquired costs a fair bit more than the system he replaced.
It would be more fair to compare them with MDA/MCD1K, C1000, and MC1.2K.

Ayre is amazing! I have a friend who prefers it much over McIntosh.

Ayre KX-R/MX-R/Wilson Sasha is one impressive and musically satisfying combo for sure. I liked it no less than my own Lamm/ Sasha combo.

A local brick and mortar has Ayre & McIntosh, Wilson and Revel. The Ayre and Wilson synergy was very very good. I went with Revel and McIntosh but somewhere down the road, I intend to try Ayre and Wilson at home.
